David developed a love for Italian wines in his last Wine Director position before leaving the restaurant industry.  He then moved to Piedmont in Northwestern Italy where he drank as much Barolo, Barbaresco, Ruche, Barbera, Grignolino, Freisa and even Dolcetto that he could get his hands on.

A.I. Selections began as an Italian import company with one tiny winery from Friuli.  From there the rest is history.  To some the sheer number of regions (72 DOCG and 337 DOC zones!), confusing wine laws, and seemingly infinite number of grape varieties make Italy confusing.  We’re not confused, it along with the gastronomical wonder that is the Italian kitchen is what makes us so in love with Italain wine.
